Menards plans further central Ohio locations
Eau Claire, Wis.-based big-box retailer Menards plans a second location in central Ohio, further building its presence there, according to The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch.
The retailer has planned a new location in Lancaster, Ohio, to be opened in April, following a new store opening in Marion, Ohio, last year.
Further locations are planned in the northern Columbus neighborhood of Northland, where the company plans a 180,000-square-foot store on a former Sears site, and the far-north Columbus suburb of Orange Township, although the latter location has run into some zoning snags.
Tom O’Neil, a Menards real estate representative for the state of Ohio, told the newspaper, “We feel we’re going to be pretty active.”
