Menards gets green light for Mundelein, Ill., expansion
According to an article in the Chicago Daily Herald, a Mundelein, Ill., Menards has been given the green light to expand its garden center.
The Mundelein village board approved the plan, which calls for a 63,745-sq.-ft. garden center on the east side of the store, replacing a 14,300-sq.-ft. garden center on the west side. The move, expected to be finished in 2012, would sacrific about 200 parking spaces, according to the article.
The shopping center, in which the expansion is set to occur, has been losing businesses during the past several years.
