Menard, Hendricks make Forbes 400 list
Several leading executives in the home channel made the Forbes 400 list for 2010, an annual listing of the nation’s wealthiest individuals.
John Menard, founder of Menards home improvement warehouse chain, ranked in 51st place with $5.2 billion in estimated net worth. The reclusive executive held the 44th spot last year with $5 billion.
Diane Hendricks, who co-founded roofing distributor ABC Supply with her husband Ken Hendricks, placed 170th on the list. The Beloit, Wis., executive, whose husband died in a construction accident in 2008, is worth $2.1 billion, according to Forbes.
Three of Home Depot’s co-founders were also listed on the Forbes 400: Bernie Marcus (#269) at $1.5 billion; Arthur Blank (#332) at $1.2 billion; and Ken Langone (#365) at $1.1 billion.
