McCoy’s relaunches Huntsville location
McCoy’s Building Supply recently celebrated the grand reopening of its store in Huntsville, Texas.
The location underwent major construction upgrades and was relaunched with a board cutting ceremony. The Huntsville store originally opened in 1983 and has been at its current location since 1995.
Renovations include the expansion of the lumber yard and concrete paving being added to the entire yard and front parking lot. The front façade of the store was also updated while new LED lights were added throughout the property and many areas inside the store.
The board cutting ceremony was held in conjunction with the Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce on May 24. Huntsville Mayor Andy Brauninger, City Manager Aaron Kulhavy and several members of the Chamber of Commerce attended the event. McCoy’s continued its tradition of opening the store by using a handsaw to cut through a board painted green and yellow.
After the board cutting, over 150 guests enjoyed a BBQ lunch from McKenzie’s, a local Huntsville favorite. Festivities throughout the weekend also included hamburgers, hot dogs and brats served by Ken Krieger of Lone Star Outdoor Power, a live remote from radio station 101.7 KSAM and giveaways.
McCoy’s operates 87 stores and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico.
