McCoy’s names new Taylor, Texas manager
McCoy’s Building Supply has named Justin Askew as store manager of its Taylor, Texas location.
Askew joined McCoy’s 5 years ago working as a cashier at the company’s Huntsville, Texas store and quickly enrolled in the company’s management development program. His commitment to serving the Born-To-Build customer and understanding of McCoy’s customer-centric approach to management was evident in his role as assistant manager in Georgetown, Texas, the company said.
Mostly recently, Askew served as store manager at McCoy’s Corsicana, Texas.
When asked about his favorite part of working at McCoy’s, he was quick to answer. “It’s when you get to help somebody build something,” said Askew. “Watching a few bundles of lumber turn into a house over time or seeing pictures online of customer’s DIY projects is really fulfilling.”
Regional Manager Carlos Garcia had high praise to share about Askew. “Justin’s leadership, energy and focus made such a difference to the Corsicana market,” he said. “I know he’s bringing that same energy to the Taylor store and I can’t wait to him to grow even more as a manager alongside his new team.”
Based in San Marcos, Texas, McCoy’s operates 87 stores, 3 distribution facilities, and 2 millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico.
