McCoy’s expanding closer to Dallas-Fort Worth

6/1/2018
McCoy’s Building Supply is ready to expand in Midlothian, Texas, less than 30 miles south of the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Currently, McCoy's Terrell location is the closest store to Dallas and roughly 58 miles away.

The dealer has purchased a 7.13 acre site on US Highway 287 in Midlothian with store construction expected to be completed in late 2018. Upon completion, the site will host a new 18,000-square-foot retail space, a paved lumberyard, and a 30,625-square-foot covered, drive-thru lumberyard and storage area.

Dan Buller, a 39-year McCoy’s veteran and former manager of McCoy’s Baytown location, has been named manager of the store.

“I’m really looking forward to building a team who can serve the needs of our Born-to-Build customers in Midlothian,” said Buller. “33 years ago, my wife, Tammy, and I moved to Brenham, Texas, to help open a new McCoy’s store. I’m excited to do that again with even more tools and support from this great company.”

Based in San Marcos, Texas, McCoy’s Building Supply is a pro dealer and farm and ranch retailer, operating 87 stores and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico. The company has about 2,000 employees.

Last week the company celebrated the grand re-opening of its location in Huntsville, Texas.
