Masonite loses California plant to fire
Masonite said its Stockton, Calif. manufacturing operation was severely impacted by a recent fire from an adjacent, non-company facility last week.
As a result, the interior and exterior door manufacturer said it will not restart operations at the cut-stock factory.
The company said it has communicated the decision with employees. None were injured during the fire.
Masonite operates two additional cut-stock facilities and said it will increase production at the plants. The Tampa, Fla.-based company said it will continue to evaluate the impact on its operations as additional information becomes available.
