Marvin acquires assets of SIW Windows & Doors
Window and door manufacturer the Marvin Companies has acquired the assets of SIW Windows & Doors and formed a new business venture, SIW Solutions.
In partnership with current SIW Windows & Doors ownership, the Marvin Companies is now the majority owner of the new SIW Solutions.
SIW Solutions will form a separate business unit within the Marvin Companies. There will be no changes made to the way SIW currently services its network of dealer partners and its retail customers, Marvin said.
Headquartered in Delray Beach, Fla., SIW is a manufacturer of impact-resistant windows and doors serving the high-end residential and commercial construction markets. It offers an extensive hurricane-rated product portfolio, including windows; scenic, entry and pivot doors; and garage doors with a focus on quality and modern design. Founded in 2002, SIW has more than 170 employees and 2 manufacturing facilities in southern Florida.
"The addition of SIW to our family of brands will expand our coastal window and door capabilities and enable us to provide a broader array of design solutions to our customers,” said Paul Marvin, CEO of the Marvin Companies.
Marvin also said that SIW's founding owners and its senior management team will partner with Marvin leadership to expand and enhance manufacturing operations, sales and support services, and product development.
"We are thrilled to join The Marvin Companies," said Abe Lopez, co-founder of SIW "As a family owned and operated business, we feel fortunate to have aligned with a fourth-generation family-led business that shares our values and commitment to our employees, customers and communities."
Based in Warroad, Minn., the Marvin Companies is privately held. The company has nearly 6,000 employees and operates 12 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada.
