Marketing Magic: HD's Orange Door Campaign
Home Depot Canada is kicking off a new marketing initiative to promote its efforts to end youth homelessness in Canada, which affects 6,000 people every night.
The Orange Door Campaign is getting customers to purchase a $2.00 paper orange door -- with 100% of funds raised going toward the cause.
Running until Oct. 9, 2016, the campaign aims to raise funds for local housing and life-skills development programs at youth-focused charities in the partnering store's community.
"Youth homelessness is one of the most urgent social issues in Canada today. Together with our community, we're building a brighter future for young people across Canada – one orange door at a time," said Jeff Kinnaird, chair, board of directors, The Home Depot Canada Foundation and president, The Home Depot Canada.
This year, The Home Depot Canada's associate-led volunteer force will also help local charities complete renovation projects that will help the organizations feel more like home.
Home Depot Canada's Orange Door Project has raised more than $5.4 million since it began in 2007.
