Makita says good-bye to Ni-Cad
La Mirada, Calif.-based Makita Industrial Power Tools has launched “Good-Bye Ni-Cad, Get Into LXT Lithium-Ion Technology,” a new national promotion offering select free tools and accessories with a purchase.
The company said the promotion is an effort to cement its ties with the pro contractor and serious tool user.
“This is another opportunity for serious tool users to expand their toolbox as we continue to expand our LXT Cordless Series," said Brent Withey, Makita’s senior brand manager.
Makita introduced its 18V Lithium Ion Cordless Series, which now has 36 cordless tools in the series, a little more than four years ago. The lithium-ion battery power delivers more power, less weight, longer run time and a faster, more efficient charging process, according to the company.
“Get Into LXT Lithium-Ion Technology” launches today and applies to purchases made through June 30, 2010. It offers a range of value-added offers, with mail-in redemption for free bare-tools (tool-only, no battery or charger included) and accessories with purchase of select LXT Series kits and combo kits.
