Maker of backyard playset points to sustainability

Woodplay Playsets, maker of backyard swing sets, says its supplier of California redwood received a conservation award from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The company also announced that its swing sets "are now made using lumber that's certified sustainable."

California redwood makes an ideal material for backyard swing sets because it resists disease and decay and shrinks less than other woods, according to the company.
