Major makeover at Quality Craft
Quality Craft will be bringing its usual mix of flooring and tool storage products to the National Hardware Show next month. The company will also bring a story of new leadership and enhanced focus, company executives say.
The moves start at the top, where Dennis Hale took over as president less than a year ago. Also new to the team is Dave Bickel as senior VP of sales and marketing. The CEO’s office continues to be occupied by John Brice.
“This is an exciting time for the Quality Craft team,” said Hale. “Dave’s ability in growing sales and marketing teams, creating loyal customers and strategically generating revenue within our current and new customer base is core to the strategic direction of Quality Craft.”
Quality Craft home improvement mix includes engineered flooring, laminate, bamboo, hardwood, cork, slate, vinyl, rubber and moldings as well as wall tile. The storage division offers a catalog of garage storage, shelf systems, storage cabinets, tool boxes, tool stands, saw horses, utility carts and workbenches.
Bickel describes the changes taking place at the Surrey, British Columbia-based company as a move from a company of autonomous divisions, to a company operating under a single umbrella. “Instead of structuring the company around product, we’re aligning the company by customer channel," he told HBSDealer.
As an example of the new line of thinking in the garage storage space, the company intends to launch programs and build a reputation as “premium supplier of garage storage from floor to ceiling,” Bickel said.
At the National Hardware Show, the company will roll out some rugged Montezuma Triangle Toolboxes, as well as Montezuma storage cabinets and chests, replete with ball-bearing drawer slides and USB outlets. The company also intends to roll out a new brand -- "Renegade" -- in the tool storage space.
“I’m confident in the combined vision Dennis and Dave possess that builds on our rich heritage in tool storage and flooring.”
