L&W Supply names new VP of Operations
Jake Gress, regional vice president for the West at L&W Supply, has been promoted to the newly created position of L&W Supply Vice President of Operations.
Gress has been in the industry for over 17 years, spending the last 10 with L&W Supply.

Since L&W Supply’s acquisition by ABC Supply in 2016, Gress has developed a strong team and led the West Region to success, the building products distributor said.
In his new role, Gress will be responsible for L&W Supply’s operations function, including safety, compliance, fleet and real estate, along with the marketing, merchandising and training teams.
“Jake has always been an innovative leader with a deep commitment to continuous improvement,” says Dan Piché, president of L&W Supply. “With him in this new position, L&W Supply will benefit from his ability to build and lead successful teams.”
According to L&W Supply, Gress’ ability to generate growth, optimize customer and vendor relationships, and understand the complexities of the company’s business will serve him well in this new capacity.
“L&W Supply has a lot of exciting projects coming up. In my new role, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with associates from across the company to drive L&W Supply to even greater heights,” Gress said.
Based in Chicago, L&W Supply operates about 175 branches in 35 states. The company distributes wallboard, suspended ceiling tiles, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners and related building products. L&W Supply is a subsidiary of ABC Supply.
