L&W Supply names new district managers

1/27/2020
L&W Supply has named a pair of new district managers for new territories.

Walter Reinthaler has been appointed district manager for the company’s new Mountain West District in Utah and Arizona. Paul Dean has also accepted the role as district manager of the company’s newly formed Upper Midwest District.

Walter Reinthaler

As an associate of L&W Supply for more than 15 years, Reinthaler has served in a number of roles at the company including outside sales, sales manager, steel merchandising and business manager. Most recently, he spent the last two years as branch manager for L&W Supply in San Jose, Calif.

“The entire L&W Supply team in the West could not be happier with Walter’s well-earned promotion,” said Jake Gress, regional vice president for L&W Supply’s West Region. “In his new role, he will be able to impact more branches than ever before through his leadership and ability to provide customer service.”

As District Manager of the newly formed Mountain West District, Reinthaler will oversee all L&W Supply branches in Utah and Arizona, including the Phoenix and Salt Lake City metro areas. This includes locations such as Sandy, Midvale and Ogden, Utah.

Paul Dean

Dean is a 22-year veteran of L&W Supply, having begun his career as a branch supervisor in Beaumont, Texas. In 2000, he moved to Houston and has held numerous positions including outside sales representative and sales manager. In 2005, Dean was promoted to Branch Manager where he helped grow the business into one of L&W Supply’s highest volume branches.

Due to his success, Paul was named a managing partner in the inaugural MP class, one of the highest honors a branch manager can achieve at L&W Supply, the company said.

“Paul Dean is an outstanding branch manager and we couldn’t be happier to have him in this new position,” said Charles Collins, regional vice president for L&W Supply’s Central Region. “We’re all very excited to benefit from Paul’s dedication to customers and deep knowledge of the industry.”

As District Manager of the newly formed Upper Midwest District, Paul will be responsible for a number of high-traffic L&W Supply branches in cities including Chicago along with Green Bay and Madison, Wis.

Based in Chicago, L&W Supply operates about 175 branches in 35 states. The company is one of the nation’s largest distributors of wallboard, suspended ceiling tiles, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners and related building products. L&W Supply is a subsidiary of ABC Supply.
