Lumber Liquidators ducks out of investor conference
In the latest bit of fallout since word first leaked about last Sunday's controversial "60 Minutes" segment, Lumber Liquidators executives canceled a presentation at an investor conference they were scheduled to appear at Wednesday morning.
The presentation, which was to take place at the Raymond James Annual Institutional Investors Conference in Orlando, Florida, is being postponed til a March 12 conference call, the company said.
"We regret that we are not attending the conference today and apologize to our investors that planned to attend," CEO Robert Lynch said in a statement. "We look forward to speaking with you next week regarding our business update."
In other Lumber Liquidators news, Senator Bill Nelson (D. - Fla) is calling for a federal investigation into the company's products.
The "60 Minutes" expose reported that Lumber Liquidators was selling flooring containing illegal levels of formaldehyde.
