Lowe's plans fifth Long Island location

2/20/2018

After repeated difficulties securing real estate on Long Island, Lowe’s has agreed to purchased a catering hall in Huntington Station, N.Y., for $36 million, according to the Long Island Business Journal.

Huntington Townhouse, a 148,000-square-foot banquet hall, was a popular spot for weddings, bar mitzvahs and charity events. Lowe’s will build a 117,00-square-foot store on the 18-acre site, a Lowe’s spokeswoman told the Business Journal.

It will be the retailer’s fifth location on Long Island, where company officials have said they want to open multiple locations.
