Lowe's brings new Iris to International CES
Lowe's will be unveiling the latest installments in its Iris Smart Home Solutions series at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show, taking place Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas.
New Iris products and services will include a water shut-off valve that cuts supply when a leak is detected, a voice control feature,smart sprinkler systems, smart meter add-ons, universal garage door openers, additional energy saving devices and more.
"Our goal when creating Iris was to make home automation systems simple, affordable and able to grow with customers' evolving needs," said Kevin Meagher, Lowe's VP and general manager, Smart Home. "Lowe's relationship with our vendors allows us to develop and deliver the broadest range of connected home solutions to make homes safer, more efficient and easier to manage."
Lowe's will be offering product demonstrations at its booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Meeting Room S115.
It will also host a panel on the future of smart home on Jan. 7, featuring Kevin Meagher and executives from LG, Samsung and Verizon. Bruce Upbin, managing editor of Forbes, will moderate the panel.
