Look who’s talking: Two coaches
Two former football coaches -- some might call them legends -- will speak at the upcoming STAFDA General Session during the Nov. 6-8 Atlanta Convention & Trade Show.
Herm Edwards and Jimmy Johnson will address the topic: “Winning in business … and life” during the event.
Edwards and Johnson are both former NFL coaches who now talk for a living as TV show commentators and football analysts. Edwards coached the New York Jets and also the Kansas City Chiefs. He wrote a book titled: “You Play to Win the Game.”
Before becoming an author, Edwards emphasized his book’s titular theme in a press conference that received widespread notoriety in sports circles. You can watch the video of the press conference here.
Jimmy Johnson won consecutive Super Bowls as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He also coached the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami football team.
Interesting fact about Johnson: He was a high school classmate of the musician Janis Joplin.
The coaches will speak at the Georgia World Congress Center Nov. 7. STAFDA’s opening party on Nov. 6 will be at the College Football Hall of Fame next door.
