Lezzer Lumber closes a Pennsylvania store

2/20/2018

Curwensville, Pa.-based Lezzer Holdings will close its Lezzer Lumber home center in Grove City, Pa., the company said. The store, which opened in 1989, is one of 11 Lezzer Lumber retail locations.

The closing is the result of the continuing recession and housing market contraction. "The market demand is not sufficient to support the number of locations we now operate," the company said in a statement.

Most of the Grove City store's employees will be consolidated in the company's Butler, Pa., location, about 15 miles away.

Lezzer Lumber was founded in 1927 and has been in the Lezzer family for three generations.
