Lehr, Fiskars ink partnership

Lehr, the new outdoor power equipment manufacturer that burst on to the scene with its propane-powered string trimmer last year, has licensed its technology to Fiskars, the two companies have announced. Lehr, which also makes blowers and lawn mowers powered by propane canisters, has granted an exclusive, worldwide license for lawn and garden tools based on proprietary technology to Fiskars.

Fiskars now plans to launch a new line of propane-powered lawn and garden equipment. The two companies, which made an official announcement in a press release on June 15, said they will continue to work together to design and expand the portfolio of propane-powered lawn and garden products offered by Fiskars.
