LBM Advantage leverages growth and gains in Florida
LBM Advantage members, vendors and staff convened in Kissimmee, Fla. the forest products and building materials cooperative’s Annual Buying Show and Shareholders Meeting.
“Our Growth is Your Gain!” was the theme this year’s event with Advantage expanding to more than 1,150 locations in 41 states. With membership expanding, it translates into a greater level of buying power and strength, Advantage said.
A larger base of membership also meant vendors enjoyed increasing sales.
“Advantage is fulfilling its mission to provide a competitive advantage for our members by leveraging their collective power,” said Steve Sallah, LBM Advantage president and CEO.
The show featured keynote speaker Robert Dietz, chief economist of the National Association of Home Builders. Also included at the event were educational seminars, Advantage committee meetings, NextGen program sessions, a cocktail party, golf outing and live entertainment from global singing sensation Tess Collins.
LBM Advantage’s 2019 Building Products Vendor of the Year Awards were presented at the event. Vendors in four main product categories are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including sales growth, gross margin improvement, customer support and product quality.
“At LBM Advantage our Building Products Division is second to none and these suppliers are just a few who contribute to that success,” said Tom Molloy, LBM Advantage executive vice president, products and programs. “Their willingness to consistently support the co-op’s strategy for mutual benefit sets them apart.”
Vendor of the Year winners included:
