L.J. Smith steps up its offering
The stair systems manufacturer introduces new caps and balusters.
Stair systems manufacturer L.J. Smith has enhanced its product offering with the introduction of Metal Newel Caps and Flat Bar Balusters that support the modern styles of stair systems gaining popularity in today’s marketplace.
The company’s two decorative Metal Newel Caps are available to fit 3”, 3-1/4” and 3-1/2” square wood posts in a variety of colors. “These Metal Newel Caps blend well with our iron and wood balusters,” says Craig Kurtz, president of L.J. Smith Stair Systems. “We’re offering both a Flat Metal Cap and a Pyramid Metal Cap so people can select the style they like best for their stair system.”
L.J. Smith has also introduced a Flat Bar style baluster to its Contempo Collection. The 44” tall balusters are ½” by 1-1/2” and available in Low Sheen Black, Matte Nickel, Oil Rubbed Copper and Stain Black. The new Flat Bar balusters are often combined with plain ½” x ½” balusters to create unlimited patterns.
“We envision people using these Flat Bar balusters to create attractive stair systems,” says Kurtz. “An interesting look would be to pair the Flat Bar Baluster with our wood newels and one of our new Metal Newel Caps. This would bring a unique style to a home interior.”
