KB Home Launches new mobile site

KB Homes has launched a new Web site specifically designed for potential home buyers who access the Internet via their mobile phone.

The company said mobile phone users will still go to www.kbhome.com, and will be redirected to the new site, which includes information, prices, floor plans, driving directions, home photos and renderings all optimized for a small screen.

The company pointed to a July 2009 study by Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, which showed 32% of Americans have accessed the Internet through a mobile phone. The study also showed that nearly one-fifth of all Americans use the Internet through a mobile device daily.
