KB Home appoints chief financial officer

Los Angeles-based KB Home has named Raymond Silcock executive VP and chief financial officer. He will report directly to KB Home president and CEO Jeffrey Mezger.

"As a seasoned business strategist and financial expert, Ray's contributions will be invaluable as we remain focused on driving results and efficiencies through our KBnxt operational business model and returning the company to profitability," Mezger said.

Silcock was most recently senior VP and chief financial officer for UST Inc., an S&P 500 consumer products company. Previously, he was executive VP and chief financial officer for Swift & Co. He was also executive VP and chief financial officer of Cott Corp., a private-label bottler of soft drinks. Earlier in his career, Silcock worked at Campbell Soup.

Silcock will work with senior VP and chief accounting officer William Hollinger, who has been leading the company's financial operations.
