Jenn-Air has something new under the hood
Jenn-Air has introduced a new 30-inch range with downdraft ventilation, most notably with an option for duct-free range installation -- a first for the company.
The range easily fits a standard opening and can be vented outside or installed via the duct-free option.
"For the first time, exterior ducting issues will not limit the choices of those who have a standard 30-inch space and prefer the high performance downdraft ventilation our brand offers," said Jenn-Air marketing director Brian Maynard. "Whether the challenge is a high-rise environment that prohibits this choice, or simply a homeowner not wanting to install exterior duct-work, these ranges offer a premium, high performance option for this very common footprint."
Additionally, says Maynard, consumers and designers appreciate downdraft ventilation for its ability to work faster and better (given its location on the cooktop rather than above it), as well as its ability to eliminate the need for overhead ventilation and provide uninterrupted sight lines.
The dual-fuel cooking surfaces feature four brass burners, including a 17,000 BTU Dual-Stacked PowerBurner that can quickly transition between different heat extremes.
Cooking surfaces on the electric range models feature a Dual Zone Element that can reach 3,000 watts and fit various sized cookware. It also includes a Rapid Boil Element, a 1,200-watt 6-inch Element, and a Melt Element that helps prevent scorching.
Both new ranges include 6.2 Cu. Ft. baking capacity, a 3,200 Watt true convection element and more.
Both new models are scheduled to be available in May.
