Jeld-Wen appoints a new director
Jeld-Wen Holding, Inc. has named a new member to its board of directors.
William Banholzer, Ph.D., is the newest director, and he will also serve as a member of the compensation committee of the board.
Kirk Hachigian, chairman of the board, said, “We are delighted to welcome Dr. Banholzer to JELD-WEN. His expertise in business development, technology, strategy, and operational excellence makes him a great addition to our board of directors.”
Banholzer spent 30 years in industrial research and ultimately retired from Dow Chemical Company, where he served most recently as executive vice president. In this role, he led Dow’s venture capital, licensing, and new business development activities. He also served as Dow’s Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to his time at Dow Chemical, Dr. Banholzer had a 22-year career with General Electric Company.
He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, holds 16 U.S. patents, and has more than 90 publications.
Dr. Banholzer is currently a research professor at the University of Wisconsin with appointments in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department, Chemistry Department, Wisconsin Energy Institute, and the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.
