Irwin rolls out next-generation saw blade
Irwin Tools has launched a next-generation circular saw blade with welded carbide teeth.
Manufactured in Italy, the WeldTec Circular Saw Blade range features exclusive welded carbide teeth for added strength in construction, demolition and specialty applications.
"We developed these blades to address the key performance needs that our customers require. Our innovative ultra-thin kerf blades are designed for enhanced durability, great blade control and long product life2 without sacrificing speed," said Ian Birdsall, senior manager, brand marketing for Irwin. "The new WeldTec Circular Saw Blades allow trade professionals to get more out of their tools, increasing efficiency and productivity on the job."
By welding the teeth onto the blades (versus brazing them), the manufacturing process creates a tooth bond that is stronger and more durable.
The blade also has a PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) non-stick coating for reduced binding and gumming, which also increases cutting speed while dissipating heat damage.
The new WeldTec Construction Circular Saw Blades are currently available at construction and industrial tool suppliers, home centers, hardware stores, and throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The WeldTec Demolition Blades will be available in late 2016.
