Industry rallies for Hope
Las Vegas—The hardware and homebuilding industry celebrated the City of Hope and the efforts of Home Depot executive Joe McFarland Monday night at a gala reception at Caesar’s Palace.
McFarland, president of The Home Depot’s Northern Division, was recognized as the 2015 Spirit of Life Honoree. Also celebrated was the fundraising effort that generated more than $1 million for the City of Hope, a California-based cancer treatment and research center.
“Not only are they the best in the business, they are changing people’s lives in the most profound way,” said McFarland.
During the ceremony, McFarland received support and encouragement from Pat Farrah, one of Home Depot’s co-founders. Farrah, received an “Ambassador of Hope” award from the organization.
