Huttig hires new CFO

Huttig Building Products has hired Philip Keipp as its new VP and chief financial officer, assuming all financial and accounting responsibilities for the building materials distributor. Keipp, 48 years old, comes to Huttig from HD Supply Waterworks, a distributor of water and wastewater transmission products.

Prior to HD Supply and its predecessor companies, where he held the positions of CFO and chief operating officer over a 12-year period, Keipp worked in public accounting, including 10 years at KPMG.

Keipp will report to president and CEO Jon Vrabely, who has served as interim CFO since the resignation of Kenneth Young in April 2009.

Based in St. Louis, Huttig distributes millwork, building materials and wood products through 28 distribution centers serving 45 states.
