Home Depot packs 2,500 relief kits

9/21/2018
The Home Depot is continuing to provide relief support toward recent disaster areas, including those ravaged by Hurricane Florence.

On Sept. 20, more than 700 Home Depot associates came together to package 2,500 relief kits at the retailer’s Store Support Center in Atlanta. The kits are being sent to communities impacted by disasters.

In partnership with Convoy of Hope and Hero Box, volunteers packed Homer Buckets full of supplies – including cleaning products, paper towels, trash bags among other products to be sent out across the country for both those hit by Hurricane Florence and in preparation for future disasters.

Additionally, more than 3,000 truckloads of product have been shipped to stores in the Carolinas.

This event was the kickoff of 8th annual The Home Depot’s Celebration of Service campaign. The campaign runs through Veterans Day on Nov. 12.

Earlier this week, The Home Depot Foundation also increased its disaster response commitment to $3 million.
