Home Depot extends partnership with heavy equipment rental firm
Terex, a Westport, Conn.-based construction equipment rental firm, has extended its partnership with Home Depot by adding PT-30 and PT-50 compact track loaders, TSR50 skid-steer loaders and TC16 compact excavators to its centers in 280 select Home Depot locations, according to an article in Rental Equipment Manager.
The partnership between the two firms, formed earlier this year, placed Terex equipment in the Compact Power Equipment Centers found in the Tool Rental section in 170 Home Depot locations. Top-performing units include the Home Depot flagship store in Atlanta, as well as stores in Nashville and Memphis, Tenn.; Rock Hill and Greenville, S.C.; Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas; Tampa, Fla.; and Olive Branch, Miss. Both the Memphis and Olive Branch stores are just 30 miles from the Terex Construction operations office in Southaven, Miss.
Compact Power Equipment Centers have partnered with The Home Depot to provide commercial contractors with towable rental equipment for many projects.
"We are pleased to have the Terex brand presented to customers alongside such well known, reputable brands as Compact Power Equipment Centers and The Home Depot," John Poag, director, rental, government and remarketing, Terex Construction, told the publication.
Compact Power CEO Roger Braswell added, "Our goal is to open an additional 300 Compact Power Equipment Centers in the future -- our strategic relationship with Terex is very important in achieving this."
