HIRI Information Summit coming to Chicago

The 2011 HIRI Home Improvement Industry Summit will include a presentation from Port Washington, N.Y.-based NPD Group that intends to identify areas of opportunity for manufacturers and retailers.

The presentation, "Finding Growth in an Uneven Recovery," by NPD Director of Home Improvement Kevin Gilbert, will offer insight into areas of opportunity in the home improvement marketplace for manufacturers and retailers to capitalize on during this uneven economic recovery. The content will primarily be based on HIRI's proprietary sentiment tracking data with additional information from broader home improvement and home appliance studies, as well as NPD’s Economy Tracker.

Described by HIRI as the "premier conference for information on the industry," the two-day summit will take place Oct. 19-20 at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza.
