HIRI Hosts Windy City Event

2/20/2018

The Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI) will host a daylong conference Oct. 10 in Chicago, bringing into focus a range of issues—including the state of housing turnover and the impact of housing and credit markets on homeowners’ remodeling projects.

The fall conference, “Navigating a Demanding Home Improvement Industry,” will feature presenters from Home Depot, Yankelovich, NPD Group and Zelman and Associates, among others.

The agenda also includes presentations on living trends impacting home improvement and research to help guide packaging and POS material design. (Details of the conference agenda are available on HIRI’s Website, www.hiri.org.)

“HIRI has had great success with its previous conferences because they are planned based on input from our members,” said Fred Miller, HIRI’s managing director.

HIRI is a membership-based, independent nonprofit organization representing more than 80 companies in the home improvement industry. Tampa-based HIRI is managed by Lebhar-Friedman, the publisher of Home Channel News.
