HD Supply acquires D&M Fabrication

HD Supply Waterworks, the 260-unit water and wastewater products division of HD Supply, has acquired Lodi, Calif.-based D&M Fabrication, which specializes in fabricating fire protection systems for distributors and contractors.

Chuck Reed, regional vp-HD Supply Waterworks, said in a statement, "This acquisition is extremely important for us because it will solidify our ability to provide value-added services to our customers through fabrication capabilities in Northern California."

The company further noted in a press statement, “The purchase of D&M Fabrication further strengthens HD Supply Waterworks' market-leading position in an important region with strong market growth trends. The bolt-on acquisition also supports HD Supply's acquisitive long-term growth strategy.”

D&M Fabrication currently operates a warehouse facility in Northern California. The business will be fully integrated into the HD Supply Waterworks business and will begin operating under the HD Supply Fire Protection brand, continuing to provide fabrication services to existing customers.

HD Supply Waterworks has locations in 41 states.
