Hancock Lumber recognizes Employee of the Year honorees

4/19/2019
In recent years, Hancock Lumber has become synonymous with a strong company culture.

The Casco, Maine-based pro dealer says a big part of its foundation is creating a work environment that recognizes employees as human beings and ultimately improves the lives of anyone who works at the organization.

Hancock has recognized 13 employees from across its network of businesses as its 2018 Employees of the Year recipients.

The company's Employee of the Year Awards are given annually to a group of Hancock Lumber employees whose positive attitude, commitment to quality, and focus on customer service combine to serve as a living example of the core values of our company, Hancock Lumber said.

By recognizing them with the award, Hancock Lumber also said it is thanking the employees for their exceptional contributions to the company and looking to them as a leading example of what the Hancock spirit represents.

The dealer has been named one of the “Best Places to work in Maine” for five consecutive years.

“Hancock Lumber looks for employees committed to helping our company consistently and continuously improve. Individuals who receive the ‘Employee of the Year Award’ have demonstrated the ability to effectively and enthusiastically make Hancock Lumber a better place for our employees and customers through their positive attitude and commitment to quality,” said Kevin Hancock, president of Hancock Lumber.
