Genesis CEO applauds move to green
Genesis Products said it is using PureColor’s EvenGrain product on all prefinished HDF interior door options.
Genesis manufacturers molded HDF (High Density Fiberboard) residential interior doors for the construction industry. PureColor develops and produces sustainable finishing systems for wood, veneered and composite substrates.
The prefinished options will give home builders the ability to offer home buyers expanded design options that complement cabinets and flooring finishes. Genesis Products will be offering PureColor’s EvenGrain Collection on smooth and textured HDF interior doors.
“As a leading supplier of interior doors, we are proud to strengthen our commitment to deliver sustainable building products to the marketplace and provide our customers with healthy alternatives for their construction projects. We are equally proud to enhance the health and well being of our valued employees who work with these doors everyday,” said Jon Wenger, Genesis president and CEO. Traditional stains emit toxins during application and after installation. “Our PureColor finished doors are not only eco-friendly, but also stylish and will offer customers fashionable designer touches at an affordable price point,” said Wenger.
“PureColor is privileged to be in relationship with Genesis Products, a company clearly dedicated to manufacturing eco-friendly interior doors for the marketplace, while also improving operating efficiencies and health for their organization,” stated Scott Caruso, PureColor president. PureColor’s products are all natural and free of hazardous chemicals.
Founded in August 2002, Genesis operates four facilities in Elkhart and Goshen, Indiana and a facility in Keysville, Virginia, totaling over 415,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space.
