General counsel departing Huttig

1/4/2019
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Huttig Building Products reported that company general counsel Rebecca Kujawa is leaving her position.

Kujawa, who is also secretary of Huttig Building Products, has ceased to be an executive officer at the company and will no longer hold the title of senior vice president – supply chain management.

In the Dec. 31, 2018 filing, the St. Louis, Mo.-based building products distributor said that Kujawa will continue to serve as general counsel and secretary until Jan. 31, 2018.

Huttig also said that Kujawa is expected to provide consulting services to the company after her employment has ended.

Kujawa joined Huttig in January 2014.  She was named senior vice president supply chain management, general counsel and corporate secretary on Jan. 1, 2018.

Prior to joining Huttig, Kujawa served as a vice president and general counsel - Asia and Trading at Peabody Energy Corporation, a publicly traded energy company headquartered in St. Louis.

Last September, Huttig named Phillip Keipp as the company’s new vice president and chief financial officer following the departure of Oscar Martinez roughly a year ago.

Keipp most recently served as a senior financial consultant for Huttig. He also served as Huttig’s CFO from July 2009 through June 2015.
