Frank Blake joins RILA board
Frank Blake, chairman and CEO of Home Depot, has been named to the board of the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) as one of six new members. Other retail executives elected at RILA’s semi-annual meeting on Jan. 25 include Myron Ullman III, chairman & CEO of J.C. Penney; Gregory Wasson, president and chief operating officer of Walgreen; and Patrick Mutchler, company group chairman of Johnson & Johnson.
Blake will serve on the board with Robert Niblock, president and CEO of Lowe’s, who has held the position of RILA chairman since January 2008.
Other retail executives on RILA’s board include the CEOs of Target, AutoZone, Best Buy, Wal-Mart Stores, Dollar General and Petco.
RILA is a trade organization that represents retailers, product manufacturers and service suppliers. Its strategic focus is on issues related to work force, supply chain, finance, asset protection and issues that span the entire retail industry.
