Fortress Wood Products names new vice president
Timothy Parker has been appointed vice president of Fortress Wood Products, a division of the Lester Group.

Parker joins Fortress from BlueLinx, where he served as general manager in Raleigh, N.C. He has more than 30 years of experience in the building materials industry, primarily in the Southeast.

Fortress Wood Products manufactures and distributes pressure-treated lumber and board stock for commercial and residential building applications in the Mid-Atlantic states. Fortress has production facilities in High Point, Henderson and Elizabeth City, N.C.

The Lester Group also owns Fortress Door Company in Fredericksburg and Lester Properties, which develops shopping centers, office buildings and restaurants in Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia. Based in Martinsville, Va., the Lester Group has more than 18,000 acres of forest land in Virginia and North Carolina.
Additionally, the Lester Group operates four pro dealer brands under the Lester Building Supply, Jim Carpenter Company, Taylor Brothers, and Building Supply of Manassas banners.
