New Infinity I-Series decking from Fortress
The bamboo capped-composite decking series is lighter but can handle heavy loads.
Expanding upon their cutting-edge building product lines in North America, Fortress Building Products has added a new decking profile, the Infinity I-Series, to their portfolio.
The innovative bamboo capped-composite I-Series (IS) is 40% lighter, yet provides twice the strength of competitive decking options and unprecedented span ratings, according to Fortress. With the Infinity I-Series, Fortress building experts have created a cost-effective solution while increasing product quality and performance.
“We are excited for builders and contractors to see the Infinity I-Series Decking line in action,” said Toby Bostwick, vice president of product and brand for Fortress Building Products. “This revolutionary design incorporates the historically proven I-beam shape, which is uniquely capable of handling heavy loads; the result leading to the creation of the highest performing deck board to hit the market.”
The first of its kind, Fortress said that its latest decking series was born out of a need for deck boards that could withstand harsh climates and intense temperatures. Key features of the Infinity I-Series deck boards include: increased slip resistance, improved heat dissipation through its original engineered profile and higher moisture resistance through their unmatched density.
“The IS Decking Line is engineered to keep moisture out,” said Bostwick. “In a traditional decking line, the board actually absorbs water. By replacing the basic wood fillers with bamboo, along with other advanced engineering techniques, the new Fortress Decking line works to resist moisture.”
Builders and contractors can choose from a wide range of earth-tone colors to match any outdoor environment, including Cape Town Grey, Caribbean Coral and many others. Dual embossing also ensures that no two boards will ever have the same grain pattern, making for a visually appealing profile.
To add to the sustainable beauty of the boards, the Infinity I-Series Decking line includes increased marring and scratch resistance, fully backed with a 25-year warranty.
