Estwing spreads its brand

Rockford, Ill.-based Estwing Manufacturing Co., known for its striking tools, is pushing its brand into a variety of related categories through a licensing partnership deal with JS Products.

JS Products will design and manufacture new Estwing nail sets, files, chisels, screwdrivers, saws, drill bits, measuring devices and soft-sided tools storage solutions. JS Products is based in Las Vegas and operates branch offices in Columbus, Ohio; Mooresville, N.C.; Shanghai, China; and Taipei, Taiwan.

Estwing also has licensing deals with companies that make Estwing-branded gloves (LFS Glove) and pneumatic nailers (Prime Global Products).

Here’s how Estwing describes its new JS Products lines:

• Nail Sets — The Estwing nail set line will include a multitude of nail sets and individual punches that are commonly needed for both professional and DIY projects. The line will include 3/16-inch steel alignment punch, 2/32-inch nail set, 1/32-inch nail set, six-piece pin and punch set, three-piece small pin and punch set, three-piece premium nail set, 12-piece punch and chisel set and a three-piece marking and starter kit.


• Chisels — This wide range of Estwing chisel sets are perfect for woodworking and metalworking. Each chisel is made of high carbon tool steel for optimum cutting efficiency and comfort grip handles for hand fatigue reduction. The Estwing chisel line includes a variety of wood chisels, floor chisels, mason chisels, cold chisels and brick chisels.


• Screwdrivers — Designed for comfort and durability, the Estwing screwdriver line will meet your professional or home improvement needs. The line includes a six-piece diamond tip screwdriver set, two-piece demo screwdriver set, four-piece mini pick and hook set, 10-piece screwdriver set, 6-in-1 screwdriver and an 18-in-1 ratcheting screwdriver.


• Files — The Estwing file set line would make a great addition to your file collection. The collection includes a three-piece file set, 10-piece file set, seven-piece precision needle file set and a three-piece wood chuck chisel/rasp set. The Estwing file collection also includes individual files ranging in different sizes and great for home and professional projects.


• Saws — The Estwing saw line includes features such as molded comfort grip, heat treated blades for quicker and cleaner cuts, long teeth, hardened teeth, and adjustable blade angles. The Estwing saw line includes a 13-inch coping saw, 13-inch pruning saw and a 12-inch hacksaw.


• Drill Bits — The Estwing drill bits set line is for metal, wood, plastic and masonry. Each set features an ABS casing with side lock and some with titanium pilot point for longer life, no-spin shank and tapered web. The set includes a 14-piece titanium HSS drill bit kit, 21-piece titanium HSS drill bit kit, 29-piece titanium HSS drill bit kit, 29-piece cobalt drill bit kit and a 100-piece drilling and driving kit.


• Measuring Devices — The Estwing measuring devices consist of tape measures and laser measures. The devices’ measurements range from 16 feet to 65 feet. This line also includes a 9-inch magnetic torpedo level, 9-inch aluminum torpedo level, automatic center punch, infrared thermometer, digital angle meter and a 6-inch caliper.


• Soft Sided Tool Storage — The Estwing softgoods line consists of a multitude innovative tool storage with features specifically designed for professionals. Features include magnetized fastener holders, interchangeable pouch solutions, customizable tape measure clips and specialized hammer holders — made with high quality materials.
