Estwing debuting sledge hammer line at NHS
Estwing’s new line is in partnership with Groz Engineering Tools.
Estwing Manufacturing Co., is introducing a full line of sledge hammers and specialty hammers at this year’s National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.
The hammer and striking tool manufacturer is partnering with Groz Engineering Tools Pvt. Ltd., a manufacturer of premium tools and equipment, as a global licensing Partner. Groz Tools will develop, manufacture, and market a comprehensive licensing program under the iconic Estwing brand targeting Do-It-Yourself and professional enthusiasts.
The offering includes sledge hammers, specialty hammers, pry bars, alignment bars and splitting mauls. Handle types for the hammers and mauls include Indestructible, Fiberglass and Hickory.
The Indestructible handle lineup is a premium handle in quality and price that includes head types for all applications and end-users: Hard Face (50-55 HRC), Soft Face (30 HRC), Copper, Brass, Machinist’s, Tire Bead Breaker and Club. This lineup is touted as the “World’s Strongest Hammer” with its revolutionary spring steel bar design and vulcanized rubber handle that absorbs impact and vibration. Head sizes for the Indestructible handle family range from 2.5lb (1.1kg) to 20lb. (9kg) with handle length range from 12” (300mm) to 36” (900mm).
The Fiberglass handle lineup is double injected for increased strength, durability and overstrike protection. Induction hardened striking ends allow this offering to be one of the strongest Fiberglass handle striking tools in the market today. Head types for this range includes: Hard Face (50-55 HRC) and Soft Face (30 HRC). Head sizes for the Fiberglass handle family range from 2.5lb. (1.1kg) to 20lb. (9kg) with handle length range from 16” (400mm) to 36” (900mm).
The Hickory handle lineup has the highest quality Made in U.S.A. Hickory handle and is a perfect range to round out the Sledge Hammer program. All of the Licensed Hard Face Sledge Hammers will include safety ratings for ANSI, SANS 387:2014 and BS876 for material hardness and performance. Alignment Bars, Pry Bars and Splitting Mauls will be launched in Phase 2 later this year.
