Epicor bets on BisTrack in Vegas

11/13/2018
LAS VEGAS – Epicor wasn’t going to show up to its 2018 LBM User Conference without bringing something new, shiny and productive.

The global, industry-specific software provider unveiled its new Epicor BisTrack 6.0 package here today at the Aria hotel with 664 of its LBM customers in attendance, including pro dealers, distributors, and mill owners. When Epicor held its first LBM User Conference at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas 11 years ago, it had just 59 costumer attendees.

Epicor BisTrack 6.0 adds a new web store application programming interface (API), web store responsive design, and easy web store credit card storage to allow LBM businesses to get more out of their eCommerce strategy. The API allows BisTrack customers the freedom to build their own specific web stores with any partner or tool, and have BisTrack software provide the products and prices, and accept the orders and payments.

Additionally, BisTrack Delivery, a mobile proof-of-delivery application, has been expanded to cover more transactions and capture more information. A new mobile warehouse management module (Warehouse Management Foundations) has been added, which brings the key elements of a world-class warehouse management system in a straight-forward implementation that fits both small and large LBM businesses.

The latest version of the Epicor BisTrack application increases the flexibility of its existing customer stratification functionality to allow more granularity and automation. This helps BisTrack customers to make better decisions about how to align resources to the right customers, allowing growth without added investment, Epicor said.

Over the past year, Epicor had rolled out no less than 17 service packs to its existing software, according to Kevin Hodge, senior LBM product director, Epicor Software. Hodge said the roll outs were not just bug fixes but actual new tech introductions.

But given new developments in technology, “It was time for a major release,” Hodge told HBSDealer.
