Do it Best names housewares merchandise manager

Do it Best announced that Linda Geise has joined the hardware and lumber buying co-op as its merchandise manager for housewares. In this position, Geise will lead the co-op’s efforts to improve member profitability of its housewares business through retail service center (RSC) and drop-ship program negotiations, new product introductions and planogram development.

Geise brings a wealth of sales experience to her position at Do it Best. Most recently, she was a senior buyer for the Kitchen Collection and Le Gourmet Chef stores. Her experience also includes merchandising positions at Big Lots, Value City Department Stores and Service Merchandise.

“Linda’s expertise allows her to serve as an invaluable resource to our members,” said Steve Markley, vp-merchandising for Do it Best. “Her depth of knowledge will help them become even more competitive in housewares within their own markets.
