Design Assist optimizes DeWalt anchoring products in accordance with the latest national and international building codes.
DeWalt has introduced Design Assist, a new structural design software program that streamlines, automates, and optimizes DeWalt anchoring products in accordance with the latest national and international building codes.
The free software includes innovative customization tools for both connections and anchor properties. DeWalt Design Assist offers several new features and tools to optimize the design process for a variety of applications.
Features of DeWalt Design Assist include the complete customization of both base plate shape and anchor pattern, a post-installed rebar design module with multiple configuration options for rebar connections, a module for newly designed anchorage to concrete over metal deck, a module for base-mounted equipment to design anchors for both wind and seismic forces, anchor property customization to calculate capacities for any anchor or configuration, and dual-anchor detailing to design a connection once and output two different anchor solutions.
The Engineered by Powers line of concrete anchors and fasteners was launched by DeWalt in 2016 as a transition from the Powers Fasteners brand. Since the launch, the line has been expanded with new fastening products and new code approvals.
Towson, Md.-based DeWalt is a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker.
