Delta showerheads meet new WaterSense standard
Indianapolis-based Delta Faucet has announced that more than 50% of its bath suites feature showerheads that meet the latest EPA specification, WaterSense, introduced March 5.
The new WaterSense specifications, aimed at conserving water usage, sets the bar for showerheads to flow at a rate of 2 gallons per minute or less.
The company said that of the showerheads that already meet the WaterSense criteria, seven of their products already exceed it by reaching a flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute, using its new H2Oinetic Technology. The company said it hopes to increase its number of WaterSense certifications to 80% by the summer.
"Delta strives to provide products that address today's water conservation concerns without sacrificing the comfort and convenience of the user experience. Our water-efficient showerheads featuring H2Okinetic Technology, for instance, use larger droplets to create a drenching sensation and luxurious shower experience, while using less water," said Paul Patton, senior product developer for Delta Faucet. "We take our role as a WaterSense partner very seriously and are committed to working with the EPA to encourage efficient use of water resources, and to actively protect the future of our nation's water supply."
