Deckorators widens deck product offerings
The decking products brand has introduced a trio of new products including an installation system and aluminum railing.
Deckorators has introduced a trio of new products that will be available to deck builders beginning April 1.
The exclusive Deckorators Fastendry system helps deck builders create dry zones while realizing significant labor and cost savings. Fastendry combines weatherproofing and deck board fastening capability in one solution while allowing builders to add under-deck living space or storage. Deckorators says the system allows builders to save up to 50% on installation time and 25% on installation cost versus competitive weatherproofing products.
Fastendry fits in the slotted edges of Deckorators composite decking, forming a water-tight seal that prevents rain, melting snow and debris from passing through the spaces between boards. The polymer insert has a rigid base plate that fastens decking to joists with a nail gun, resulting in a fastener-free look without the use of hidden fasteners.
ALX Contemporary aluminum railing, in brushed titanium, is also new from Deckorators and brings a sleek, simplified look of stainless steel to outdoor living in a durable aluminum deck railing. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum, the rail features a beautiful anodized finish that offers the appearance of stainless steel while resisting scratches and corrosion.
The product is available in two profiles: rectangle top rail with Deckorators Estate balusters and round top rail with Classic balusters. It comes in 36- and 42-inch heights and 6- and 8-foot pre-assembled sections for easy installation. Deckorators backs ALX Contemporary aluminum railing in Brushed Titanium with a lifetime limited warranty on manufacturing defects and a 25-year removal-and-replacement warranty.
Deckorators has also introduced porch flooring with patented Eovations technology, making the product strong, lightweight, and stable the manufacturer said. Because the technology allows virtually no water absorption, Deckorators porch flooring is backed by a 25-year structural, 25-year stain-and-fade and 25-year removal-and-replacement limited warranty that covers water and ground contact.
“We strive to develop innovative products that help our partners stand out from the competition,” said Chris Camfferman, director of category marketing for Deckorators.
Based in Grand Rapids, Mich., Deckorators is a subsidiary of Universal Forest Products, Inc.
