Deckorators unveils new planks and new color
Varied-plank decking allows for the mixing of widths.
Deckorators has expanded its line of Voyage composite decking to include a fifth color — Khaya, a true brown
Khaya (true brown) joins four other trend-forward color options in the Deckorators Voyage decking offering: Sierra (dark gray), Tundra (gray), Costa (golden brown), and Mesa (red brown).
The new color meets deck contractor and homeowner demand for a darker brown composite decking with the unique Voyage benefits of enhanced slip resistance and bold vertical grain variegation, Deckorators said. Khaya also adds a third brown tone to the Voyage family, allowing for creative color combinations.
Deckorators has also introduced new Voyage varied-plank decking in all five colors. The varied-plank decking includes widths of 3½ inches, 5½ inches and 7¼ inches, bringing the interior design trend of mixing widths of hardwood flooring to outdoor living.
Voyage varied-plank decking made with patented Eovations technology allows for less thermal movement and absorbs less moisture. Deckorators varied-plank decking are also available with grooved-edge profiles for use with hidden fasteners.
Khaya is available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot grooved and solid-edge profiles, as well as 12-foot fascia. The 3½- and 7¼-inch widths of multi-plank decking come in a 20-foot length; the 5½-inch multi-plank option is available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot lengths. All Voyage varied-plank decking is available in grooved and solid-edge profiles.
The entire Voyage decking line is backed by a 25-year structural, 25-year stain-and-fade and 25-year removal-and-replacement limited deck warranty as well as coverage for water and ground contact.
“We consult our partners in the Deckorators Certified Pro program when developing new products,” said Chris Camfferman, managing director of marketing for Deckorators. “Our Pros told us they loved Voyage and wanted more color and design options. New Khaya and varied-plank decking drastically increase the design possibilities for contractors and their clients.”
Deckorators Khaya and varied-plank decking will be available for the 2020 deck-building season.
The new products were both unveiled at the 2019 Remodeling Show and Deck Expo in Louisville, Ky.
