Deckorators launches Voyage decking line
Textured embossing offers superior traction in dry and wet conditions.
Deckorators, the wood-alternative decking brand of Universal Forest Products, Inc., has expanded its line its offerings with the launch of Voyage.
The new line of composite decking features Eovations technology and was introduced this week at the 2018 DeckExpo in Baltimore, Md.
Like other members of the Deckorators Eovations decking family, Voyage delivers one of the industry’s best strength-to-weight ratio, absorbs virtually no moisture, and allows virtually no thermal expansion or contraction. Voyage adds to these benefits unique textured embossing for superior traction on the deck surface, along with the bold look of vertical grain variegation.
The textured embossing offers homeowners the enhanced safety of superior traction underfoot in both dry and wet conditions. Deckorators Voyage decking provides 34% or greater surface traction than other leading brands of composite decking. Voyage decking was tested against other leading capped composite deck boards in wet conditions by an independent third-party lab under the AS/NZS 4586-2013 standard, Deckorators said.
Vertical grain variegation gives Voyage — an ultra-low maintenance composite — the trend-forward appearance of the highest-quality wood. Voyage comes in four beautiful colors that are the most popular in outdoor living spaces among homeowners: Sierra (dark gray), Tundra (gray), Costa (golden brown), and Mesa (red brown).
“We use extensive input from dealers and contractors to develop products that help them stand out from the competition,” said Chris Camfferman, managing director, marketing, Deckorators. “Our partners have experienced the unique benefits of our Frontier and Vault composite decking with Eovations technology. We’re thrilled to introduce them to Voyage, the best product in a good-better-best Eovations line.”
Voyage will be available for 2019 in 12-, 16- and 20-foot solid and slotted-edge profiles, as well as 12-foot fascia. It is backed by a 25-year structural, 25-year stain-and-fade and 25-year removal-and-replacement limited warranty that covers water and ground contact. Deckorators is one of the only brands in the industry to stand behind installations in, or in contact with, water or ground.
Voyage is capped with durable polypropylene to create a surface that is stain-, fade- and scratch-resistant.
