Dealer honors Vandermeer Forest Products

Vandermeer Forest Products, a Lynnwood, Wash., supplier of lumber, panels, decking and other building materials, has been chosen by Hadlock Building Materials as its Vendor of the Year for 2008. The regional distributor was founded in 1972 and is still privately owned.

Hadlock Building Supply, a True Value dealer located in Port Hadlock, Wash., described Vandermeer as “the Nordstrom of the Lumber Industry.” The home center also singled out salesman Jason Olsen’s “unprecedented service.”

“When we have a problem -- which is rare -- we are quickly taken care of,” said Hadlock owner Morris James. “[Vandermeer> has always been great to work with, and at times creative on how to do business. Not true with some of the bigger corporations.”

James added that “this was a unanimous vote by our management team, which is unusual for [Hadlock Building Supply>.”
